Hi, one of my wishes is more social-bookmarks chooseable, and a little bit optical-tweaking.....
optical-tweaking, i mean like alpha-blending to 50%, and while hover over an icon, it shows 100%. Just look here and scroll down until end of that page, i use this mambot for Joomla and the blending is easily done via CSS.
Also you can use all URLS to the bookmarking-systems from this mambot (its integrated in xml-files)

All what I can do is to add a class or id to this image tags and from there it depends on everyone theme. If you want to work like "your example" than is enough to define your css in you theme.
