I hear the script is good. I am also a member in some forums runing on it. But I still don't like it since I haven't see too many forums on the script that  would look amazing. Most of them are on a default theme and it just doesn't convince me to use it. It has many features by default, so this is a good thing about it

I myself use MyBB. It's very easy to skin, but many people cannot be bothered to change theres, either creating their own skin or installing a premade one.

I myself also switched from phpBB and it is much better.

Also in the next major release [1.2 - the current version is 1.1.x], the templates system will be greatly improved.

I used phpBB for 1 year for a game site and was all beautiful ... until upgrade. When I start to upgrade my forum all was a big mess .. a lot of mods not functional for the new upgrade + some security issues.

I thin most forum upgrades is troublesome.
not all mods are compatible. that's why I always wait a while before i upgrade for the mods to catch up.

Yes but if you have some security issues ... than you need to patch your site by hand Smiley

I have heard the contrary. A friend of mine a while back found a lot of exploits when it was still beta, and I am not sure the status of it now. My friend was using it for a while, then after all the problems with the beta, I donated vBulletin.

He never looked back.

If it works better, and the issues are ironed out, that is great. I have tried it myself locally, and it worked just fine.
