Hi
I just solve a problem with the forcedeth driver. Every time when I reboot my system the forcedeth driver it get's a random hw address/mac address.
This is what I found in dmesg :
Quote
forcedeth: using HIGHDMA
0000:00:07.0: Invalid Mac address detected: 8f:0b:d9:8f:13:00
Please complain to your hardware vendor. Switching to a random MAC.
eth0: forcedeth.c: subsystem: 01849:03ef bound to 0000:00:07.0

Anyway I found a solution for this:
1. Change the kernel > 2.6.18
2. Get a new forcedeth driver > 0.60

I hope this helps !

Regards
