What are the advantages of going with Linux vs. Windows?
Obviously theres cost, maybe the lack of viruses... but what else?

I've just recently installed Ubuntu linux on one of my old laptops that used to be running Window 98. When MS stopped offering security updates back in July I made this switch and I've been very happy so far. Linux can run very fast even on old computer because it doesn't use as much resources as Windows. That's one more thing I like about linux that you can add to your list.
