just wanted to know which was the most user-friendly and easy to use version of linux.

I think Mandriva or Knoppix are the most user friendly Linux distros.

If you just want to "test" linux, then use knoppix. Just have to put the cd-rom in your cdrom drive and reboot  In school we use Fedora Core. But I heard Ubuntu is better.

But if you want a full distro with all applications and etc try Ubuntu. Also ubuntu have a live cd just for testing.

Yea, I tried Ubuntu but I want to know how good Ubuntu is comapred to other distros.

all distros have good things and bad things ...  For a very user friendly distro try mandriva ... I think is the best in that. Ubuntu is very easy to update/upgrade without to much effort.

Try Zenwalk from http://www.zenwalk.org It is derivate from Slackware but Installation is automatic and you get great desktop system out of the box.

well zenwalk uses its onw package system called netpkg and it is great ! Software repository is updated frequently also. Check it out

I still haven't had time to try the Linux OS test thing posted above. I wish I could just freeze time for a few weeks, I could get caught up with all my work.
