hard to measure speed. speed can also be dependent on a lot of other factors, like cpu load and so on.

Anyway it seems, the speed of a website, depends of a lot factors: webiste bandwidth, your bandwidth, problems what can appear, the speed of your database (if you are using something like that).

Cashing is something you want to look into, but if I were you, I'll start from something much easier to improve.  Making smaller images is much easier.  Making your site standard compliant is probably much easier.  File compression isn't that difficult, either.

Just one question. For the link TheGodFather gave.. does the website speed info displayed goes for all computers? I mean like if a fast computer uses the program will it show the same resultts as shower PCs?

Is influenced by your computer speed, because your computer is compromising the download if is to slow ... but if you have a Pentium 2 or more without viruses and without any Gigabyte connection Cheesy  than the results are very close.
