Funny thing happened with adsense today

Usually I get a few clicks per day for my adsense. And normally I get a few cents (give or take) per click.
But suddenly, today, I got over a dollar for 1 click!

Why is that ? How do they count the amount paid?

Actually it all depends on how much a publisher is willing to pay per click. I've gotten $3-$4 per click before just not very often.

A big thing with Adsense is also traffic, I don't know how they know but they somehow know how much traffic you get. They serve the best ads to the busy sites where they have more chance to get clicks. I'm not sure with the weekend thing but I suppose it's possible.
