Google want's the sitemap in root of your site. This is the problem not SEF url's ! If you have a forum and sitemap posted in /forum/siteamp.xml then google doesn't like this ... if you have the sitemap in ROOT /sitemap.xml then is ok !

I am confused. Where you place the sitemap doesn't involve what type of URLs you are using right??
