Using blogs for backlinks

Do you guys have any advice for using blogs to generate backlinks?

Do you create a single blog with each major blog provider (blogger.com, etc.), or do you create several accounts with each?

Will it matter if each blog has the same username?

Does Google use whois data to reduce the relevance of links of sites and blogs?

Yes blog commenting is very help to making natural site link and improve your site traffic. also helps improving page rank.

I normally create unique content on each web 2.0 property like blogger, word press, etc with a link back to my site. You can use the same username say for 5 or less properties depending on the number of properties you are intending to build.

I think you mean web 2.0 properties rather than blogs, we normally use them to create link wheels and Link Pyramids with unique and original content.

Yes Blog commenting & blog posting both are good for back links... Because Blog is a genuine process for getting back links for your site & you can fetch lot's & lot's of traffic for your site.

Yes, you can use the blog commenting and posting for the generating the backlinks for your website. It is very useful for the generating traffics also.
