i see someone say something about this everyday. do you think the move from 4 to 5 and soon to be 6 is essential. or should updates on it just stop

I just follow the updates, once there is a new one, I use it. No need to say: stop the updates, I want a low-featured php version.

There are some reasons I guess, but version 4 and 5 has its disadavntages. One reason oto update is due to security, PHP his higly exploitable.
