Sorry for my english. In french language, whatever I try with Remove accented characters from url's, they are change to %

discussions+g%E9n%E9rales/bienvenue+dans+smf%A0-t1.0.html

Is there a solution please to transform

In fact, it seems that "Remove accented characters" is not working at all for me. I have make a test here http://www.webmasterstalks.com/seo-4-smf/accent-test-cest-lete-t879.0.html;new#new and it's ok. So what's wrong with my serveur ? Is it a question of permission ?

It's possible your server doesn't support utf8. Do you convert your database to utf8 ?
Tell us your site url to check.

the problem this in firefox leaves thus: %C2%BFqu%C3%A9 in explorer is seen well. The problem now is when clearing the accents in the administration panel, leave squares instead of the letter without accent.

I'm glad you find the solution. On my forum Google(and Yahoo) was indexed like a crazy. Anyway I don't have a big forum ... so I don't have so much traffic from G an Y.
