That can't be true, I always have SEF urls enabled. At the moment I don't have SEO4SMF on until I have fixed something with my server but I will always have the default SEF feature turned on.

This came because of smf ... try to remove all cache and cookies and probably first time when you access the site you will see phpsesid's
